Trauma & PTSD Therapy Intensives | North Carolina
Cognitive Processing Therapy Intensives for Trauma & PTSD
Trauma Therapy, Reimagined
If you are living with trauma or PTSD, you already know this: insight alone is simply not enough. You may understand why you react the way you do but still feel emotionally hijacked by intrusive memories, avoidance, hyper-vigilance, or shame.
Elevated trauma therapy thoughtfully delivered in substantially less time
Intensive (massed) Cognitive Processing Therapy is an immersive, research-supported trauma treatment designed to treat trauma & PTSD in a concentrated format. This structured and supportive framework results in more efficient and impactful recovery in less time, reducing treatment time from months to as little as three weeks.
If you are ready to explore beyond understanding to more structured and focused change — CPT Intensives offer the depth, clarity, and momentum needed to help you move from awareness into lasting transformation in a matter of weeks, not months or years.
Developed for Depth and Built for Change
How CPT Works:
Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) focuses on identifying and transforming the unhelpful beliefs that trauma can imprint concerning themes such as safety, trust, power, control, intimacy, and self-worth.
After trauma, it’s common to internalize beliefs such as:
“It was my fault.”
“I should have done something differently.”
“I can’t trust anyone.”
“The world is completely unsafe.”
“If I let my guard down, something terrible will happen.”
CPT intensives helps you gently but directly examine and restructure these beliefs by restoring balance, empowerment, and agency to rapidly improve how you feel, foster stronger coping and long-term resiliency, and reclaim your life toward how you deserve to live it.
Accelerated and transformative by design
A CPT Intensive May Be Right for You If:
You are navigating trauma or PTSD and want focused, structured, and tailored treatment that leads to rapid healing and feeling better faster.
You feel “stuck” in weekly therapy with limited forward movement.
You’re tired of coping strategies that only help you get through the week and manage your symptoms.
You notice the same trauma themes resurfacing in your relationships, work, or self-worth.
You want meaningful and sustained results in a defined timeframe.
You prefer immersive, efficient care over long-term weekly appointments.
You are motivated, insight-oriented, and ready to do deep cognitive work to heal your trauma.
You value personal growth, depth, and an elevated therapeutic experience.
Intensive Trauma Therapy for PTSD in North Carolina
Focused, Structured, and Designed for meaningful change
The hummingbird was chosen as the heart of my practice because it embodies the qualities that guide trauma recovery: resilience, precision, endurance, and the ability to find sweetness even in difficult landscapes. Just as a hummingbird hovers, sustains momentum, and ascends with purpose, clients navigating trauma move through stages of stabilization, processing, and post-traumatic growth.
This metaphor reflects my ethos and clinical approach: trauma & PTSD therapy is not haphazardly rushed or forced, but intentional, skillful, and transformative. Every Cognitive Processing therapy (CPT) intensive tier is designed to mirror this delicate yet powerful journey of healing, helping you reclaim your energy, freedom, and hope after trauma.
My Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) intensives are offered virtually for adults in North Carolina navigating trauma and PTSD who are ready to move beyond survival and into accelerated recovery. Each curated tier reflects a different level of immersion and intensity, allowing you to determine the pacing that best honors your capacity and agency by defining the cadence at which you move through structured trauma recovery.
My intensives are guided by the natural progression of trauma recovery, which follows a similar path to the hummingbird. Before flight comes stabilization, before ascent comes sustained effort, and between stillness and soaring, there is the precise, powerful work of movement:
Hover → Sustain → Ascend
Stabilize. Process. Integrate.
What’s Included?
Because trauma work deserves depth and continuity, I limit my CPT Intensives to just one to two clients per month. This ensures priority scheduling, prompt access to care, and a focused therapeutic container built around your healing timeline. When you enter an intensive, your work is not competing for space on my calendar as it is intentionally reserved, thoughtfully structured, and held with sustained clinical presence from start to finish.
Comprehensive Pre-Intensive Assessment:
Your intensive begins with a comprehensive 90-minute clinical assessment designed to establish clarity and focus. We clarify your trauma history, evaluate current PTSD symptoms, define your tailored treatment goals, and ensure readiness and preparation for immersive trauma work.
2. Twelve Full CPT Protocol Sessions:
The core of your intensive is the full Cognitive Processing Therapy protocol delivered across twelve extended sessions. In this structured process, we identify trauma-related “stuck points,” challenge the beliefs that maintain distress, and develop more balanced ways of understanding the traumatic event, yourself, and the world. The intensive format preserves the integrity of CPT while allowing the work to unfold with greater focus, continuity, and personalization.
3. Post-Intensive Session:
Your intensive concludes with a 90-minute integration session approximately two weeks after the final CPT appointment. This follow-up allows us to assess your progress, reinforce new cognitive patterns, and refine strategies for maintaining these shifts in everyday life. It provides thoughtful closure to the intensive while supporting continued stability and forward movement.

Once we have completed the consultation call and determined we would be a good fit to start our therapeutic work together, we will schedule the initial intake session (60 minutes). Afterward, clients are encouraged to commit to weekly individual therapy sessions (50 minutes) at the beginning of treatment as this promotes effectiveness in your therapy and ensures quality of care. Decreasing the frequency of sessions over time will be collaboratively explored based on your overall progress and meeting established treatment goals.
